In addition to co-founding Internet Infrastructure Coalition (i2Coalition), he currently serves as the organization's Vice Chairman and Public Policy Work Group Chairman. Mr. Snead is also an attorney with a private practice in Washington, D.C. He has represented clients in the areas of eCommerce, Copyright, Trademark, and Licensing and provided Internet Law counseling to companies in five countries.
Van Lindberg is a Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Rackspace, where he serves in both legal and technical roles. As associate general counsel, Lindberg oversees the Intellectual Property program, directing Rackspace's strategy and policy around patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret and open source matters. He also heads Rackspace's patent reform lobbying efforts. On the technical side, Lindberg co-chairs the company’s Technical Career Track program, or TCT, a leadership development program for the most highly skilled technical Rackers.
David A. Hoffman is Director of Security Policy and Global Privacy Officer at Intel Corporation, in which capacity he heads the organisation that oversees Intel’s privacy compliance activities, legal support for privacy and security and all external privacy and security engagements. Also, in 2005 Mr. Hoffman was appointed to the Department of Homeland Security’s Data Privacy and Integrity Advisory Committee, on which he has been Chair of the Data Sharing and Use Subcommittee and is currently Chair of the Technology Committee. From 2005 – 2009, Mr. Hoffman served on the Board of Directors for the International Association of Privacy Professionals, on which he was the Board’s Treasurer and he is currently a member of the Advisory Board for the Future of Privacy Forum and the Board of the Information Accountability Foundation. Mr. Hoffman is the co-chair of the International Chamber of Commerce’s Task Force on Data Protection and Privacy.
Mike Godwin is director of innovation policy and general counsel for the R Street Institute, leading the institute’s research and advocacy efforts in the areas of patent and copyright reform, surveillance reform, technology policy, and freedom of expression.
Mike has a deep background and knowledge of technology policy and intellectual property, having worked on these issues for the past 25 years. Before joining the R Street Institute in 2015, he served as a senior policy advisor at Internews, advising the organization’s public-policy partners in developing and transitional democracies, as part of the Global Internet Policy Project.
Dan Wallach is a professor in the Department of Computer Science and a Rice Scholar at the Baker Institute for Public Policy at Rice University in Houston, Texas His research considers computer security and has touched on issues include web browsers and servers, peer to peer systems, smartphones, and voting machines. He has testified about voting security issues before government bodies in the U.S., Mexico, and the European Union, and has served as an expert witness in a number of voting technology lawsuits.
